Our Team

Dr. Paul – Chiropractor

Paul felt a very strong calling to be some sort of a health practitioner since the age of five years old. He consequently dedicated nineteen years of academic study to eventually graduate from Phillip Institute of Technology (now R.M.I.T.) after completing the five year degree in the class of 1988.

He still carries that same passion and dedication but now after 35 years in practice wraps that around great clinical experience. He has worked in various places around Australia, including Adelaide, Alice Springs, Ballarat and more locally in the suburbs of Ivanhoe, Brunswick West, Vermont and currently in Heathmont.

He thrives on delving into the patient condition that offers up a challenge, even those who have not been helped by other treatment methods.

His Post-graduate seminars include;

  • Activator systems
  • Powerful Practices Graduate
  • Neuro-Link (now called Neural Integration System)
  • Upledger cranial
  • Foot Levelers analysis system &
  • Reams Biochemical Assessment

On a personal level he is married and along with his wife has raised six fine upstanding children, most of whom are now adults. He also delights in his two grandchildren.

His interests include wood turning, renovations and studying scriptures. You can check out the ‘Home-made Goods’ at reception as often items are for sale.

And watch out bringing up the sport of basketball as he’s been a coach and mentor for young boys for over twenty years, he can chat on a bit!

Annabel Buhagiar –
Clinical Nutritionist

“I believe in the power of prevention and supporting the bodys ability to promote health and healing. Through dietary intervention, a self-care focused lifestyle and supplements where required, let me help you not only heal but ultimately thrive in health.”

Annabel holds a Bachelor of Health Science in Nutritional Medicine and is a professional member of Australian Natural Therapies Association (ANTA). She’s passionate about individualised care and helping clients understand how to create a ‘healthy’ balance, without compromising on the things they love.

Working closely with your health goals, Annabel has a strong focus on supporting the body’s innate ability to find its equilibrium or ‘balance’.  She loves helping clients apply simple strategies to nourish, nurture and support their bodies.

She works in key areas of gut health (intolerances, allergies, intestinal pain and bloating), skin health, hormone balancing and the gut-brain connection (anxiety, stress, digestive disorders and the microbiome).

Away from clinical practice, Annabel enjoys compiling recipes over a cup of herbal tea, hanging with her husband Jake and walking her gorgeous dog Rufus.

Much more information can be found on her own website at www.thegreenground.com

Susan –
Chiropractic Assistant

Susan brings to this clinic a wonderful blend of care and compassion for others along with her administrative capacity, forged through various and diverse administrative/reception roles for 30 years.

She claims being a Chiropractic Assistant, since 2009, has been her favourite role yet. We agree as we see her attributes exhibited as she helps patients in their time within the clinic, as she converses when they are at reception, especially when travel stories are told, and especially as she settles babies while families have their consultations.

She understands the importance of health as along with her husband, Neale and two young adult children, have received the benefits of natural health care, particularly Chiropractic, over many years. She is an advocate for good chiropractic care and takes pleasure in sharing these benefits with others.

To relax she likes to create beautiful spaces, anything from gardening to decorating for parties.

Susan is also a believer in life-long learning; her current pursuits include Bible College. This has led to the privilege of mentoring young female leaders in the community. Other learning includes her exploring the benefits of clean eating – especially happy hormones. If you like healthy, sweet treats, Susan would love to swap recipes with you and she’ll do it all with her freely given smile.
